H1N1 Update for Argentina |
The Institute for Study Abroad continues to monitor the incidence of H1N1 flu in our locations around the world, including Argentina. IFSA-Butler is working closely with its resident offices in Buenos Aires and Mendoza to ensure the health and safety of students currently abroad. The number of verifiable, reported cases in Argentina is extremely low - about 2,500 out of 40 million residents. The Argentine Ministry of Health has urged universities to consider closing voluntarily. Because the winter vacation for schools is set to occur in mid-July, all are closing early strictly for prevention purposes.
